Visit of Prof. Renjith Thomas to Serbia

We are thrilled to share highlights from the year of 2024, which was marked by the visit of Prof. Dr. Renjith Thomas, a member of AIDASCO and one of our esteemed collaborators. Prof. Thomas is also recognized as one of the most influential scientists globally, being listed on the prestigious Stanford List of the World’s Most Cited Researchers.

During his stay in Serbia, from April 20th to May 10th, 2024, Prof. Thomas visited the Universities of Niš, Kragujevac, and Novi Sad, where he delivered inspiring lectures and workshops. He presented his project, “Triazatruxene Derivatives for NextGen OLEDs: Insights from Quantum Chemistry and Machine Learning,” funded by the Royal Society of Chemistry, which garnered significant interest among students and researchers alike. Additionally, the AIDASCO board expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prof. Dr. Renjith Thomas for his role in the improvement of academic and scientific collaboration between Serbia and India through his research, guidance, and inspiring leadership.

Accompanying Prof. Renjith on his journey was Prof. Dr. Anila Skariah, a member of AIDASCO. During the visit, the AIDASCO board gave Prof. Dr. Anila Skariah a special appreciation award for her significant contribution to the development of the AIDASCO Reviews journal. In addition to his academic activities, Prof. Thomas and Prof. Skariah explored our capital city, Belgrade, where they enjoyed Serbia’s warm hospitality and its rich cultural and historical heritage.

Their visit has made a valuable contribution to advancing scientific collaboration and inspired future work and research. We sincerely thank Prof. Dr. Renjith Thomas and Prof. Dr. Anila Skariah for their dedication, impactful contributions, and continued support of international scientific collaboration.
