Dr Renjith Thomas is currently a senior member of faculty at the Department of Chemistry, St Berchmans College (Autonomous), Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, India. He is a theoretical and computational chemist and has contributed much into the scientific literature.

Dr Renjith was born in 1980 at Changanassery, India, studied BSc Chemistry from St Berchmans College, MSc from Gandhigram University with Gold Medal and PhD in Theoretical Chemistry from Bharathidasan University. 

His research is concentrated on the theoretical evaluation of the reaction mechanism, molecular structure, spectroscopy, weak interactions, drug design and computational materials chemistry. He is a regular reviewer to many journals of repute and is an author of more than 40 research papers in different well known journals.
