Dr. Padam Jee Omar

Padam Jee Omar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, Motihari College of Engineering, Motihari, Bihar, India. He obtained his B.Tech in Civil Engineering from Gautam Buddh Technical University, Lucknow in 2012, M.Tech in Geomatics Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IITR) in 2014. 

He joined as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Neelkanth Institute of Technology, Meerut, in Aug 2014. He is also pursuing Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology-Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. He performs a broad spectrum of functions, not merely teaching but also at the forefront of cutting-edge research. 

His research interests include Remote Sensing, GIS, Groundwater Modeling, Water resource Engineering. His expertise has been recognized at the international and national level. He enjoys mentoring students and helping to create a learning environment that is both challenging and congenial. He has guided undergraduate students in their major and minor projects. He has published more than 30 papers in international and national journals/conferences. 

He holds life membership of various national and international societies like Indian Water Resources Society (IWRS), National Ground Water Association (NGWA), Indian Society of Remote Sensing (ISRS), Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council (WSSCC), Switzerland, International Water Resources Association (IWRA), France, International Environment Forum (IEF), Geneva, International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH), U.K., Indian Society for Hydraulics (ISH), Indian Association of Hydrologists (IAH), Indian Society of Geomatics, International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Commission on Ecosystem Management (CEM), Switzerland, and The Institution of Engineers India (IEI). He serves as a reviewer for several conferences, reputed journals, and academic encyclopedias.
