Astrochemistry Special Issue in AIDASCO Reviews initiated by AIDASCO Member Leonardo Baptista
AIDASCO Reviews will host a new Special Issue dedicated to the III Workshop on Astrochemistry, which will take place July 7-9, 2026, at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
This Special Issue started from an initiative by Leonardo Baptista, an Associate Member of AIDASCO and one of the organizers of the workshop. He approached us with the idea to connect the event with AIDASCO Reviews and create an opportunity for participants to present their work to a broader audience.
This is a good example of how AIDASCO works in practice – members identify opportunities and help create new activities within the network.
Why this is important
The workshop is a regional event, and this Special Issue will help:
- increase visibility of the presented research
- support students and early-career researchers in publishing
- connect the local scientific community with a wider audience
About the Special Issue
The issue will focus on topics in astrochemistry, including molecular processes in space, computational and experimental approaches, and interdisciplinary research between chemistry, physics, and astronomy.
Participants of the workshop and researchers in related areas are invited to contribute short articles, perspectives, or review-style papers.
